Next-gen Samsung smartphones will have an Ultra-HD display, custom ARM CPUs and much more

If you are a Samsung fan or consumer, we have some really interesting news for you. If you do not already know what Samsung is up to in the near future, we are here to tell you all that you need to know about the company and its plan to dominate the smartphone market throughout the world.
You must already have heard about the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the company’s plans to tune up this smartphone to a totally new level. So the Samsung Galaxy S5 is expected to have the first ever true-octa core Exynos chipset that will be made by Samsung. Along with this, the new Galaxy flagship will also have an eye-scanning sensor and internal storage space is expected to shoot high up to 128GB.
So to summarize what we already know about the Samsung Galaxy S5 and most probably all the other high-end smartphones that Samsung will be working on, let’s make a small list right here:
  • True octa-core chipset
  • Eye-scanning sensor
  • Up to 128GB storage
Now we bring you to the fun part! We have another list of specs and features that are expected to be present on next-gen Samsung Galaxy smartphones and phablets. Most of these features might be unheard of on smartphones, but you might soon get to see them in Samsung devices in the near future.

Ultra HD display with 4K resolution
Yes, you read it correct – Ultra HD display! If you though that full HD 1080 x 1920 pixels screen resolution was the best you could get, you will be proven wrong a year or two. Because the next generation of display technology will soon make its way to smartphones.
According to the information provided by Samsung, the company is working on an Ultra HD display that will bring extremely high pixel density to smartphone screens. The number given was 560ppi (pixels per inch). Just for the sake of comparison, remember that the Samsung Galaxy S4 has a pixel density of 441 ppi.
So with this high level of pixel density, you will be able to not only shoot 4K videos on your smartphone, but will also be able to watch them there itself! No need to switch to a 4K television, just for the sake of better clarity.

Custom made ARM CPU
We are not sure if this is going to be a part of the Samsung Exynos family, but the company has announced its plans of coming up with a custom made ARM CPU that will best suit its smart devices. Samsung might still rely on the Exynos chipset and the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets, but its flagship smartphones and tablets will definitely make use of this custom made ARM CPU. Samsung has plans to come up with its custom CPU architecture that will be licensed from ARM and will be used in the company’s future devices.
Samsung has always tried to add its own suite of software and features to its high-end smart devices along with improvements to its TouchWiz UI. We assume that the company plans to do something similar to what Motorola did when the company came up with its own Motorola X8 architecture.
The company might not be ready with these custom made ARM CPUs by next year, but we will definitely hope to see them by the year 2015. The timeline has not been exactly defined, but we are keeping our expectations high!

A lot of other stuff
Along with ultra HD display that supports 4K resolution and custom made ARM CPU, Samsung will be working on a lot of other stuff. The list includes folding display phones, curved display phones and more. There have rumors saying that Samsung has been secretly working on these projects and will be unveiling one of a kind smartphones and tablets by the end of 2015.
So to sum it up, here is the list of things that Samsung will be coming up with in the near future. Simply combine this list with the one mentioned above, and you have some of the best future products!
  • Super AMOLED display panels with pixel density of 560 ppi
  • WQHD display panels with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels
  • Custom made ARM CPU
  • Flexible display phones
